Answer:

Once your procedures are saved in the Lifecycle database they are now the responsiblity for  you and/or your staff to edit. This is designed to be as easy as possible with the Lifecycle Main Flowcharting Interface.

Can we export procedures from the Lifecycle format to something else?

Answer:

That depends on which package you are using.

1) Monthly Service Customers:

For customers of our monthly service, they are not able to export procedures since they are using our remote server to host their procedure database. As well, the Lifecycle system is a contained procedure management system existing in a prioritized format. Why is this the case? The short answer to this question is simply data integrity. Our main intention is to provide a fully integrated procedure management system at a low monthly cost. Allowing procedures to be exported to static sources outside of the system defeats the purpose of the change management components included in the Lifecycle system. There are many other types of drawing programs on the market that can allow a user to document a procedure, but they are not procedure management systems.

2) Purchased Product Customers:

For customers who have purchased the Lifecycle product, and who have chosen to host the product on their own local server, they will have access to export their procedures to other sources should they choose to since they will have access to the Lifecycle database.

Once again though, the main intention of the Lifecycle system is to be able to easily capture and maintain up-to-date procedures for office staff as the main priority. If you are looking to export information out of the Lifecycle system, please let us know what your needs are and we can work with you to address them. If there is something that you would like to have added or enhanced in the Lifecycle system please let us know.
